The Internet has several boyfriends. One of them is Henry Cavill and although several would feel intimidated to meet the muscular actor, he got nervous when he had to dance with Dua Lipa, the pop star with whom he shares credits in Argylle: Secret Agent.
Both appear on screen during the film’s opening sequences, which take place on the track.
Why did Henry Cavill get nervous with Dua Lipa in Argylle?
In an interview with Collider, Henry Cavill explained that, although his eccentric hairstyle in Argylle was somewhat difficult to show off, what made him most nervous was having to share a dance scene with Dua Lipa. The reason?
The step is quite daring and involves carrying her on her shoulders with her legs open. He did not want to pull her away because he was afraid of hurting her and, in the process, earning the hatred of her fans.
“[To the explicit question of whether the dancing or the singer made him more nervous, he responded] Yes, hahaha.
The hairstyle was very fun and something very exaggerated.
Thank God he didn’t look like that in public. It only looked like a very short hairstyle when not on set. But doing a step like that with Dua Lipa, yeah… You don’t want to throw anyone away, but you don’t want to throw Dua Lipa away. I would have hordes of his fans after my head.”
Who is Dua Lipa and who is Henry Cavill in the movie Argylle?
In the film, Henry Cavill plays the titular character. He is a fictional character in a series of novels. When his author becomes entangled in a criminal plot, she begins to hallucinate him.
As for Dua Lipa, she also plays a fictional role in the film. Her name is LeGrange, a terrorist that the spy has to catch.
Argylle: Secret Agent is the first blockbuster of the year. The film is a parody and tribute to spy movies. However, critics have battered her and did not find her crazy sense of humor very effective.
Although there are no negative comments about the cast, the execution of their idea, in which they see potential, disappointed the press. Its score to date is one of the worst in this first month of 2024.
The film is Lipa’s debut as an actress. Although she is best remembered for her music, and just late last year for her single ‘Houdini’, the first from her upcoming album, she also had a brief cameo in Barbie as the mermaid version of the titular doll.
It remains to be seen if she, like many other singers, is looking for an acting career or if she limits herself to making these kinds of minor appearances.
Argylle will hit theaters starting February 1 and then land on Apple TV Plus. As for Cavill, the Briton is training to film the remake of Highlander – The Immortal, an action epic in which he will play an immortal warrior.
