Jurassic World: New movie in development with Jurassic Park screenwriter – The studio does not plan to let go of the franchise and is planning the next installment to return the dinos to the big screen.

The age of the dinosaurs is not over! Or at least not in the movies.
After a successful trilogy of sequels, which together amassed a non-negligible box office, Universal is working on a new Jurassic World movie, with which they plan to once again dominate the billboard for several years.
To do this, they have enlisted the screenwriter of the original film.
What is the new Jurassic World movie going to be about?
According to The Hollywood Reporter , a new Jurassic World movie is on the way and has been written by David Koepp , the librettist of Steven Spielberg ‘s classic.
There are few details about the plot, but the media assures that the Universal studio is hoping that it will be the first of a “new era” for the franchise, in the same way that Jurassic World were.
Such is the optimism that executives are looking to release it around 2025, which means that they just need to start finding talent.
As far as is known, there is no director involved with the project. The only clue there seems to be about the plot is that it is not “Jurassic Park”, but rather “Jurassic World”. That is, it would continue the events of the most recent trilogy.
As you know, Jurassic World was a blockbuster back in 2015. The film launched Chris Pratt as an action movie star, just as it did the same for Bryce Dallas Howard.
Although the sequel, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, and the most recent, Jurassic World: Dominion failed to have the same impact, together the trilogy grossed more than US $2.5 billion worldwide.
What happens to the dinosaurs in the Jurassic World trilogy?
In the Jurassic World trilogy , after the failure of another attempt at an amusement park, and an active black market for dinosaurs, the giant prehistoric animals end up scattered throughout the world and this leads them to frequently interbreed with human populations.
Unfortunately, and inexplicably, these scenarios were not fully exploited in Dominion , leaving some room for the new screenwriter.
What should be noted about the financial potential of the franchise is that the second installment generated fewer sales than the first, and the third less than its predecessor.
That is, we will have to truly find a way to attract audiences again and to decisively plan the franchise from the beginning instead of from film to film. We’ll see if the studio learned from the past.
At the moment, it is doubtful that the characters from the original or the sequels will appear again. Although these days everything seems possible. If Universal wants the new Jurassic World to be released in 2025, they will have to rush to find a director and cast, so we may have news in the coming months about the project.
