The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (via Variety ) has announced the shortlist in 10 categories for the upcoming 96th Oscar ceremony.
Among all the films, it is Barbie that has stood out with the most mentions, accumulating a total of five, including some of the most prestigious categories.
Highlights include the collaboration of renowned artists Billie Eilish and Dua Lipa, who have contributed original songs to the film, along with Mark Ronson and Andrew Wyatt, responsible for the catchy song “I’m Just Ken.”
The film has also earned a mention in the category of best original soundtrack, by this talented musical duo.
However, a surprise came in the makeup and hair category, where Barbie failed to make the short list. Despite this, her outstanding presence in other categories places her as one of the favorites in the next edition of the Oscars.
