Dune: Part Two is one of the most anticipated films of 2024, which last year suffered a major delay due to the actors’ strike that paralyzed all of Hollywood for a few months.

Now that the premiere is just around the corner, Timothée Chalamet is already immersed in interviews with the press, and for Fandango, he confesses that this sequel could be the work of which he feels most proud.

What is Dune about?

Directed by Denis Villeneuve, Dune is a film adaptation of the science fiction novel of the same name written by Frank Herbert.

The story takes place in the distant future, where humanity depends on the most valuable resource in the universe, the spice called “melange.”

The plot follows Paul Atreides (Chalamet), a young nobleman whose family assumes control of the desert planet Arrakis, the only known source of the spice.

As Paul discovers his own extraordinary powers, he becomes embroiled in a web of political intrigue and interstellar conflict as he fights for control of Arrakis and its vital resources.

The film presents a vast and complex world full of factions, hidden powers, and impressive creatures. In addition to exploring themes of politics, religion, and ecology, Dune stands out for its stunning visual effects, detailed production design, and Denis Villeneuve’s distinctive vision, offering an immersive and epic cinematic experience.

Dune: Part Two will cover the second half of the first novel, so audiences can expect lots of action and adventure.

Chalamet couldn’t be happier with the work that has been done, and this is what she declared to the media in the company of his co-stars:

“Big pressure but honestly I love everything I’ve been in. This might be the project I’m most proud of because, for all the reasons, it’s great to be in the movies and feel like I don’t know how I got involved in this.”
