Robert Oppenheimer, also known as the “father of the atomic bomb”, is a key historical figure due to his role in the Manhattan Project, the research and development program that led to the creation of the first nuclear bomb during World War II.
Although Oppenheimer received criticism for his role in creating this devastating weapon, he is also recognized for his advocacy of nuclear arms control and his role in establishing the Princeton Institute for Advanced Study, which has been a major research center in science, theoretical and mathematical.
Oppenheimer, Nolan ‘s film, addresses that time when the scientist developed the atomic bomb, but also blames it by observing the catastrophic consequences of its use. Robert experienced great emotional burden and moral conflict over his role in creating the atomic bomb.
While he was initially motivated by the belief that the bomb was necessary to end the war, after World War II, Oppenheimer began to feel remorse for his role in creating such devastating technology.
For Zack Snyder , this film is the best of the year, as he declared when journalist Albert Laro asked him about his favorite title of 2023: “ Oppenheimer !”
