Denisse Guerrero Reveals Why She Stepped Away from the Stage
Denisse Guerrero reveals the reasons behind her departure from the stage, sharing personal struggles that led to her hiatus.

Belanova returned to the stage and in what way! The group originally from Guadalajara, Mexico, performed last weekend at Vive Latino 2024, one of the most important festivals in the Aztec country. The presentation of the group, composed of Denisse Guerrero, Édgar Huerta and Ricardo Arreola, caused great expectation among their followers, since they had been away from the music scene for more than six years, especially their vocalist. Several rumors were made known about her absence from the spotlight, but it was Denisse Guerrero herself who spoke about the reasons that led her to leave the stage.
Prior to their presentation at Vive Latino, the band, creator of hits like Rosa Pastel or Tus Ojos, met with the media, among which was ¡HOLA! and talked about his return with the Vida en Rosa Tour. In this meeting, Guerrero took the opportunity to deny the versions that arose after his departure from the public eye.
“The truth is that those kinds of things are not planned. It’s just that there was no such thing as saying ‘you know what? Let’s go to rest, each one to his house.’ Logically you when you’re having a good time and there are times when you have to be honest with yourself, eh? Me personally, well obviously those years I went through difficult things.
I was in a strong depression because my dad was sick, my grandfather is sick, I mean, a lot of things happened and you don’t really plan life, but because I believe that when you give yourself, if you are honest with yourself, life can help you. teach. I see that those difficult moments for me were as a teacher and here I am, wanting to continue,” Denisse shared.
New music on the way?
When asked if they will return with new music, Édgar Huerta revealed that they are enjoying the moment to the fullest. “It’s living day by day and we want to focus on this moment, we are excited, we don’t know what is going to happen.” For her part, Denisse Guerrero answered if the band was already in talks about returning to the studio.
“The truth is that we are defining, the three of us are in different projects, working, composing, because it is part of our personality to make music, but believe me, the fact of being here at Vive Latino was a surprise. There are a lot of things that have been a sudden surprise, but the truth is that we probably hadn’t planned anything. I think that part of the beauty of being a musician is finding yourself in reinvention, I think that is the secret,” he commented.
The last time they released an album was in 2018 with Viaje al centro del corazón . At the moment, the band has several presentations planned in Mexico and the United States, which have their fans more than excited.
