Nobody sets out to make a bad movie, but there are some. Not so much to mock, pointing out when a film disappoints, misses opportunities or flat out fails is a way of learning.

After all, only by making mistakes do we know how to do things right. And, in that sense, the Razzie Awards have shared their list of nominees for the worst films of 2023.

What were the worst movies of 2023 according to the Razzie Awards?

According to Deadline, The Expendables 4 swept 7 nominations for the 2023 Razzie Awards. The action film was battered by critics since its premiere and was followed, in a tie, by Winnie The Pooh: Honey and Blood and The Exorcist: Believers with 5 each.

Among the dishonorable mentions, we also have Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania and Shazam! The Fury of the Gods, both with four.

Although there were at least a dozen other titles that were not saved from coming out in a muddy mess, it is worth highlighting another handful of films also hated by critics such as Ghosted -27% , The Megalodon 2: The Great Abyss -39% and up to Indiana Jones and The Dial of Destiny -63% . The award ceremony, as you know, takes place the Saturday before the Oscars.

The Razzie Awards have been presented annually, since the early 1980s, by a group of critics and journalists. Most of the members of the association that delivers them are Americans, but they have members from other parts of the world. The “award” consists of a golden raspberry cluster. Below we leave you the list of this year’s nominees.
