The GTA 6 Leak: A Teenage Hacker’s Journey

By Muhammad Saleem

This is the story of a teenage hacker known to the world as “Hacker Man.” The police raided his hotel room and arrested him, and now he is about to go to jail. The story behind why he is going to jail is very interesting, and today, we will tell you all about it.

How It All Started

His criminal journey began with a simple hobby, but soon he found himself on a dangerous path. This story takes place when he was just 14 years old and innocently hacking Minecraft servers. However, his innocence didn’t last long because by the time he turned 16, he wasn’t just hacking servers; he began targeting major crypto accounts to steal cryptocurrencies, and he succeeded.

Hacker Man’s Ambitions Grow

Hacker Man’s ambitions grew even higher when he formed a hacking group named “Leaps.” This group targeted well-known cybersecurity companies and carried out attacks that made headlines. This illegal success began to draw attention, but it was a double-edged sword, because he not only became famous but also caught the eye of law enforcement.

A Controversial Website Purchase

Using the stolen crypto funds, Hacker Man bought a website called “Doxpen.” This website allowed people to publish others’ personal information anonymously, making it a very controversial platform. But fate played against him, as the former owner of the site, who seemed to be another hacker, opened a campaign against him. Unfortunately, not much information is available about this former owner.

Exposing Hacker Man’s Crimes

During an online dispute, the former owner exposed Hacker Man’s crimes by publishing the details of his activities. He was able to do this because he still had access to post on the website, which led him to launch an attack on Hacker Man. In his accusations, the former owner also claimed that Hacker Man had stolen over 300 Bitcoins, worth millions of dollars.

The Fallout of the Revelation

This revelation not only caused Hacker Man’s reputation to deteriorate but also brought more threats his way.

This post remained on the website for two whole weeks, like a poisoned arrow targeting Hacker Man’s fame and freedom. Hacker Man tried everything possible to have it removed, but failure seemed to decide his fate. Eventually, the police raided his hotel room and arrested him. Amazingly, he was only 16 at that time. However, this arrest could not diminish the passion he had for crime and his love for the world of hacking.

A Brief Release and a New Obsession

After being released on bail, Hacker Man revived his hacking activities. This time, instead of targeting small targets, he set his sights on globally recognized institutions, including Microsoft, Ubisoft, Samsung, and others. His goal was no longer just to steal money; now, the obsession with gaining public attention had completely overtaken him. He would steal the internal data of these companies and leak it, hoping to gain more fame.

FBI on His Trail

Due to his increasing hacking activities, Hacker Man and his entire group came under the FBI’s radar, and Hacker Man knew that the FBI was watching them closely.

Trying to Erase His Tracks

Realizing the seriousness of the situation, Hacker Man immediately decided to contact the former owner of the website again. The main reason for this was that the post accusing him of hacking was still up on the website he had recently bought. Hacker Man knew that this post could be a big problem for him, so he tried to remove it at any cost.

He succeeded in contacting the former owner and asked him to remove the post immediately. But Hacker Man’s plan didn’t stop there. He also asked the owner to spread false information, claiming that he was not part of the hacking group that stole the crypto coins. Hacker Man said all this to stop the FBI from investigating him further and to avoid more trouble.

A Failed Plan

It seemed like Hacker Man might reduce his problems this way, but it didn’t happen. The former owner, who seemed to still be bitter about their past feud, simply said, “I’m not doing anything like that.” And so, Hacker Man’s clever plan failed once again, as the former owner not only posted everything on the website but also exposed him.

Arrested Again

A few days later, after being on the FBI’s most-wanted list for just one week, Hacker Man was arrested again. He was now only 17 years old. Afterward, he was released on bail, but the court imposed a strict restriction: he could not use the internet at all. To ensure this restriction, Hacker Man was kept in a Trilogy Hotel during his trial.

The Amazon Fire Stick Incident

Months passed, and he was still waiting for his trial in the hotel, missing the events that had once brought him fame. One night, he left the hotel and went to a nearby retail store where he bought an Amazon Fire Stick, along with a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse. He returned to the hotel, connected all these things to his hotel TV, and created a temporary computer for himself.

Hacking Uber for Attention

Using this temporary computer, he hacked Uber, but the surprising thing was that he didn’t ask Uber for money. No, he did it just to get media coverage for his hacking group, and his plan worked. As soon as the news broke, “Uber has been hacked by Lapsus,” the attention was not enough for Hacker Man. Just a day later, he targeted an even bigger prey — Rockstar Games.

Using the hotel TV/computer, Hacker Man impersonated a Rockstar Games employee and gained access to the most anticipated game of the decade, “GTA 6” — a game Rockstar had kept secret, and it hadn’t even been confirmed that it was going to be released.

Just two days after the hack, Hacker Man posted 90 clips of GTA 6 on a fan site for the game, and the internet went wild. Everyone was talking about the confirmation of GTA 6. Video game YouTubers started discussing it, and the news spread everywhere. Rockstar executives were furious, as they had been working on the game for years, and it was claimed that the hack caused them a loss of millions of dollars. Afterward, Rockstar executives contacted the FBI, and just four days later, London police raided Hacker Man’s hotel room, seized his temporary computer, and arrested him.

The Final Arrest

He was sent to a youth offender institution, where he openly stated that when he was released, he would return to his hacking life.

The Trial and Aftermath

After spending 11 months in the institution, he finally appeared for his trial. However, the judge ruled that he was mentally unfit to face trial due to a complex condition. But still, the jury found Hacker Man guilty. As a punishment, the judge sent him to a psychiatric hospital for life or until the doctors determined that he was no longer a threat to society.

It is said that he still openly claims that as soon as he is released, he will return to hacking.
